Hokermoto

Hokermoto

Steffen Mumm spent years painting walls around Dusseldorf under the name Hoker before he moved from spray cans to sculpture, distilling years of graffiti and calligraphy into a single recurring motif: a flat, cross-scored face he calls his Heads. Hokermoto is what happens when that face meets our own CGI practice.

0:00 / 0:00

Red and blue creature forms twist out of black space, part engine part animal, faces reduced to Hoker's same scored cross. Liquid chrome, bubbled latex and tangled wire keep shifting under a red neon wordmark, his hand-built language translated into something that only exists on screen.

It reads less like a product film than a duet, a Dusseldorf street artist and a CGI studio pushing the same face until it stops looking like either one of us alone.
