Freibad, Art Collection
In 2021 the NRW Forum Dusseldorf gave over its galleries to Freibad, thirty-two works by young Dusseldorf designers built around the outdoor public pool, curated by Lukas Philipp Schulz as his own graduation thesis. Our founder Joel Rieger's contribution is this piece: a soft, pastel world built from what a public pool actually feels like from underwater and half asleep on a lounger.

A giant slide curls through candy-blue balls, red flamingo floats and pool noodles, gravity loosened just enough that everything drifts rather than falls.
There is no product to sell here, only a childhood memory rendered at the scale of a fairground ride, sitting alongside thirty-one other designers' versions of the same nostalgia.
