Air Max 97 OG
The Air Max 97 was never actually modelled on a bullet train, whatever the internet says. Designer Christian Tresser built it from something quieter: the ripple a drop of water sends across a pond, radiating out toward the visible Air unit. For Asphaltgold's OG capsule, we took that quieter idea and built an entire world around it.
Concept
A digital fashion line and a cast of characters move through a landscape that looks recovered rather than designed: ruined columns, moss, still water, reflective eyewear catching light the same way the shoe's silver piping does. The shoe becomes one artefact among several rather than the only subject on screen.
Bodies move through the ruins with the Air Max underfoot, birds startle into flight, and the line "Born from tomorrow" closes a film that treats a shoe built on a ripple in water as evidence of a future already arrived.
